Get Involved – Our Volunteers

Gold Hill Museum depends entirely on volunteers to run the museum. There are no paid staff.

So there are many ways for people who would love to give their time for a worthwhile cause that

  • Sheds light on the lives of people in the past
  • Allows visitors of all ages to discover what made Shaftesbury and the surrounding villages what they are today
  • Teaches local school children how to observe and value their history in ways that mean something to them
  • Enables adults to develop new skills and feel more a part of the town and its surrounding area.

If you have specific skills, would like to develop some new ones, want to enhance your job prospects by engaging in activities that lead you to new career possibilities, or simply want to meet people and make new friends.

All you have to do is:

Tel. 01747 852157 and leave a message

Email chairman@goldhillmuseum.org.uk

Drop a note into the mail box on the gate at Gold Hill Museum

Download this Volunteer Application Form and return to the museum.
